
Women’s participation in labor will increase from 20% to 50%, said the Minister of Local Municipalities MB Rajesh.
He spoke after the state inauguration of the chairman of Kudumbashree Community Development Society (CDS) and publishing reports on CDS progress on Monday.
The Minister said Kudumbashree focused on providing training and employment of women’s skills in various sectors in conjunction with the Vijnana Ceram project. “The aim is to ensure the wage employment of one lake woman in front of Onam and three Lakh women until March. This will prepare a way for the progress of their families and state economies. It will also help to increase the state to the company of medium income countries,” the Minister said.
Mr Rajesh said that another goal of Kudumbashree had increased membership in self -help groups to 50 lakhs. He pointed out that Kudumbashree in the last quarter of the century managed to bring women to the forefront of social, political and cultural spheres. He spoke of the Kudumbashree Technology program Advancecement Program, K4Care, Kudumbashree Premium Cafe, Ma Care, which were implemented by Kudumbashree.
Gift packets containing kudumbashree products will reach the market through PocketMart in time for Onam, the Minister said.
Mathew T. Thomas, Mla, in his presidential address, called for widespread diversification in future activities Kudumbashree.
At the CD meeting, CDS was attended by Thiruvanthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamit, Kottayam, Alappuzha, IDUKKI and Ernakulam. A presentation about the future activities of Kudumbashree and the district presentation of Kudumbashree H. Dishansan was present.
