Kurnool Municipal Corporation (KMC) Commissioner P. Viswanadha said on Sunday (March 8) that the civic body is providing equal opportunities to women in posts as a measure to empower them.
While attending an event organized on the occasion of International Women’s Day in Kurnool, the Commissioner said that the Corporation has entrusted the post of Finance Officer to a woman. “We prioritize and will continue to prioritize female employees in all wings of the corporation,” he said.
Tax officer Swarna Latha thanked the commissioner for appointing her to the post and said it was a memorable Women’s Day for her as she is the first woman to hold the post in the corporation.
On this occasion, the Commissioner recognized several employees and sanitation workers for their services.
