The woman revealed how she managed to increase her monthly income from just ₹4500 to that much ₹3 lakhs. Jyotishree, who describes herself as a freelance social media manager, shared her career journey on her Instagram feed, explaining how she started working at a young age to help her family overcome a financial crisis.
In the video, which has now garnered massive attention on social media, Jyotishree explains that she joined a call center part-time at the age of 16, shortly after finishing school.
Recalling the beginning of her career, she said, “At the age of 16, my family was going through a financial crisis.”
He started working before receiving his class 12 results
Jyotishree said she started her professional journey even before she received her Class 12 exam results. Her first salary was ₹4,500 per month.
In addition to her job, she continued her studies at university and later moved to another part-time call center role where her monthly salary increased to ₹5,500.
As she neared the completion of her graduation, she moved into a full-time position working Australian shifts in a call center ₹8000 per month.

She later joined another company and worked night shifts in the US, increasing her monthly income to approx ₹12,500.
“I continued that job for about six months. I had to leave because the distance from that office to me was too far,” she explained, adding that the long commute was more of a challenge than the night shifts themselves.

After leaving her previous role, Jyotishree joined another organization and accepted a similar salary package as the office was closer to her home and offered a better work environment.
Looking back, she admits she knew little about salary negotiations at the time.
“Back then I didn’t know negotiation. I didn’t know anything. So I said yes to this opportunity,” she said.
She stayed with the company for five years and by the time she resigned, her salary had increased to ₹28 thousand per month.
Her income has changed as a freelancer
While still employed, Jyotishree started freelancing. She first worked as a content writer before gradually moving into social media marketing.
“When I left that company, I did it as a freelancer, and I started making 40 or 50 thousand a month as a freelancer,” she said.

Over the next five years, she expanded her freelance work and eventually built what she describes as an agency.
Today, her monthly income ranges between ₹2.5 million and ₹3 lakhs.
“Learn new skills and try different things”
With regards to her career growth, Jyotishree has attributed her success to constant learning and skill development.
“And if I had been in the traditional job that I was doing, or if I had simply changed companies, it would not have been possible to achieve that level of income because I learned new skills,” she said.
She ended her video with a message for people who feel stuck in their careers.
“If you’re someone who feels stuck, I encourage you to learn new skills, try different things, and you never know what you might find that can change your life.”
