A woman who left her comfortable, well-paying corporate role to focus on content creation has blazed a trail. Sanya Batra, who detailed her journey on an Instagram reel, shared the fear, uncertainty and risks she faced when she made the bold decision.
In a video shared on the platform, Batra recalled the moment she decided to quit despite earning ₹50 million annually. In the emotional caption, she detailed the uncertainty that followed and how she gradually built a new path for herself as a content creator.
“Content creation is not a real career”
Describing her state of mind, Batra wrote, “The day I quit my ₹50 LPA job”> ₹50 LPA job… I was scared. Everyone around me thought I was making a huge mistake. “Why would you leave a stable, well-paid job?” “Content creation is not a real career.” “What if it doesn’t work?” And honestly… I had the same questions in my mind.”
She went on to explain that leaving a well-paid role also means losing the sense of security that comes with it. “Because when you leave something that looks perfect on paper, a salary, a title, stability, you also leave security behind. I remember sitting by myself and thinking, ‘What if I fail? What if I have to start all over again?’
Even so, she said, an inner voice encouraged her to go forward. “But there was also that little voice inside of me that said… ‘What if this is the life you’re actually meant to live?’

Batra noted that the transition was not smooth as she had to rebuild without financial stability or clear direction.
“So I took a chance. I started again. From scratch. No guarantees. No fixed income. Just a phone, a dream and a lot of faith,” she wrote.
She admitted there were periods of doubt along the way. “There were months where it was slow. Moments where I doubted my decision. But I kept showing up… writing, learning, failing, improving. And slowly… things started to change.”
Over time, she said her persistence began to pay off and helped her establish a new career online.

“Today I can proudly say that I’ve made it as a content creator. Not because everything is perfect. But because I wake up excited about the life I’m building,” she added.
Batra concluded her post with a message for others facing similar crossroads. “Sometimes the scariest decisions take you right where you need to be. If you’re on the verge of making a big decision right now… Maybe it’s your sign to trust yourself a little more.”
