
The woman was killed in the Tiger attack in Beduguli series Biligiriranganathaswamy Temple Tiger Reserve, in the early Tuesday hours.
The victim was identified as Rangamma (55) Ramayya Pou in Beduguli, Chamarajanagar Taluk. Incident flow instead of rangummaan went to answer the call of nature.
Another person, Ravi, was injured in the next incident of the previous night. Ravi was attacked by the same tiger when he returned to the village, but after the alarm was triggered, he was saved by local villagers. The leading officials who visited the place started the fighting operation and managed to capture the tiger within a few hours. Officials confirmed that both attacks were carried out by the same tiger because both incidents took place near the same place.
The Minister of Forest Ecology and the Environment of Eshwar Khandre said in a statement that Ravi was receiving treatment and was out of danger. Officials were instructed to carry the treatment costs Ravi, while compensation would be released to family members of Rangamma. The local community was asked to maintain vigil, especially during dawn and dusk.
