On Friday, Aarti Singh became the first common common commissioner of the Intelligence Services in Bombai on Friday.
Singh comes from Mirzapur in Uttar Pradesh and also holds the title MBBS.
In order to strengthen the collection of intelligence information, the sixth contribution of the Commissioner in the Metropolis was recently created by the government of Maharashtra.
“In Mumbai, the collection of intelligence information is carried out with a special branch, led by another commissioner (representative of the General Inspector), who reports to the common commissioner (law and order). Now the branch will head a common commissioner who will be the General Inspector,” PTI said.
“The special branch follows every development in the city, collects news inputs and monitors the activities of sleepers and (terrorist) sympathizers,” the official added.
Within the new mechanism, the Commissioner of the Special Branch will be submitted directly by the Commissioner and will also coordinate with the Commissioner (Law and Order), added the official.
“It will help to collect intelligence and share information with superiors in time to take fast measures. At present, the position of another commissioner (special branch) is unoccupied and other police commissioner (crime) takes care of it,” he said.
At the beginning of this week, the head of the IPS Sharada Raut officer was appointed a special IGP newly created working group against narcotics (AntF).
The 2005 IPS banquet officer has recently returned to the Maharashtra police forces after Stint in CBI.

Several officers of the Deputy Inspector (DIG) were transferred and 14 police superintendents (SPS) were promoted and dug.
