On Tuesday, a forty -year -old woman was arrested by the Kurisilapatt Police in Tirupattura for grapping a gold chain worth 2.5 monarchs from a septagenarian.
The police said the arrested person was identified as K. Sumati, a native of the Krishnagiri district. She came to the house of her relative in the village of Jadayanur near Jolarpet in the Tirupattur district. The initial investigation revealed that the victim of M. Misnammal, 70 years, the resident of the village of Jadayanur, lived with her son M. Ayyappan for many years. As AyyAppan went to his mechanical workshop in Tirupattur, Mramnal remains alone in the house.
The accused, Sumati, found that Misnamal was left alone in the house. She claimed that she felt thirsty, asked for water from an older woman. When Misnmal brought water, Sumati grabbed the victim’s gold chain and ran to her moped.
Misnmal called for help, and the neighbors chased Sumati on their two -round wheels. They were charged around a kilometer from the place. On the basis of the police warning, Kurisilapatu inspected this place. The case was registered and Sumati was submitted in a sub-yail in Tirupattur. Another probe is taking place.
