
Police and forest department personnel have launched a search for a woman who went missing in Tadiyandamol forests in Kodagu district on Thursday.
Superintendent of Police, Kodagu, Bindu Mani RN, said a missing persons report has been registered at Napokl police station.
The missing woman, believed to be in her twenties, hails from Kerala.
According to sources, she came alone and checked into a nearby home. On Thursday, she accompanied a group of tourists who visited Tandiyandamol.
While the group returned, she did not. She is believed to have called staff at the home to inform them she was lost before her mobile switched off.
A group of local residents also joined the search operation.
