A 30-year-old woman was found dead under suspicious circumstances in the swimming pool of her family’s farmhouse at Kodihalli near Kanakapura in Bengaluru South district.
The deceased was identified as Pratibha. Her family suspected her husband’s involvement in her death.
Kodihalli police have registered a case of unnatural death.
Police sources said Pratibha’s husband Nanje Gowda separated from his first wife a few years ago and subsequently married Pratibha.
According to the police, the body was found in the early hours of the morning, but they suspected that the death may have occurred in the night from Saturday to Sunday.
A senior police officer told The Hindu that the crime scene officers are yet to submit their report and the body has been sent for post-mortem.
“There were no visible signs of injury on the body, but since the family has raised suspicions, we will investigate the case. However, we are waiting for the post-mortem report before taking any action,” the officer said.
