
A 58 -year -old woman who works as a temporary staff in Masinagudi’s post office died several hours after she suffered an injury in an attack by a wild elephant, while on Monday evening she and her husband rode a two -wheelers along the side of the hipster near Masinagud, Mudumalai Tiger Reserve) (MTR).
The woman was identified as K. Saras. She and her husband, Kumarasama, returned home after visiting the home when they were forced to stop next to the road, because two tourist vehicles blocked their way to take pictures.
According to officials of the Ministry of Forest, the animal was accused of parked vehicles and injured Saras. She was rushed to the primary health center in Masinagudi with what was considered minor injuries at that time. “Then she was transferred to a government medical college and a hospital in Udhagamandalam for preventive controls,” the forest clerk said.
