The 23 -year -old new married woman was killed and her husband was injured near Laggere on Friday when a fast truck hit the motorcycle they traveled. The woman who was on Pillion was transported by a truck after she fell off the motorcycle and was killed on the spot.
The deceased was identified as Geeta, the inhabitants of Malleswaam. Her husband, identified as Sunil, a private employee of the company, is treated for his injury. The couple married three months ago. They were on their way to a relative house to celebrate the Varamahalakshmi festival, their first since marriage.
The accident was caught on the CCTV camera installed nearby, the police said.
The truck driver left the vehicle and fled from the scene. Rajajinagar traffic police seized the truck looking for drivers. He was booked for death due to negligence and rash and negligence.
