
The woman admitted to the government hospital in the northeast Delhi in an “intoxicated and unconscious state” was sexually attacked by another patient. According to Hindustan Times (HT) report, the victim died on Wednesday during treatment. However, according to officials who quoted initial observations, death was not caused by an attack, he added.
The victim was admitted to the Jag Pravesh Chandra Hospital last week after her neighbors found her unconscious.
“The initial MLC said it was unconscious and intoxicated. Other actions depend on the autopsy,” said Ashish Misra, DCP (Northeast) HT.
On Monday, the hospital staff informed the police that it was attacked by a male patient in the same department. Later she was referred to the GTB hospital where she died.
“We are waiting for a mortem message to find out the exact reason for her death. Then we take the next steps,” the police said.
The incident was reported to the new USmanpur police station, which filed a case.
The police said the accused Mohammed Faiz, the inhabitants of Khajuri Khajuri in Delhi, was arrested shortly afterwards.

Meanwhile, a group of women, allegedly sexually attacked by a 60 -year -old man for a certain period of time, killed him and burned his body in the district of Gajapati in Odisha early this month, reported the PTI and quoted the police. “We learned that the man was attacked to death and his body was then burned,” said officer of the police station Mohana Basant Sethi PTI.
The incident occurred on 3 June after the accused allegedly raped the 52 -year -old widow. Women, including the victims of his previous sexual attacks, organized a meeting and decided to kill him.
“They went to their house where he slept, and the 52 -year -old widow attacked a man to death with other survivors. Two men also helped women,” Sethi PTI said.
