A woman allegedly rammed her car into multiple vehicles, tried to run over police officers and created a ruckus at a traffic light in Mumbai’s western suburbs, police said on Saturday (Oct 31, 2026).

The incident took place near the Sangeet Bharati Chowk signal in Juhu on Friday (Oct 30, 2026) at around 8:30 pm when a woman ran away and hit a scooter, a motorcycle and another car while trying to escape after hitting a stationary car, an official said.

She also allegedly tried to steer her vehicle toward the officers on duty, he said.

“When the police officer tried to intervene and asked her to stop filming the crime scene, the woman took out her mobile phone and started filming the police officers, causing a scuffle,” the official said.

The officer later ordered the woman to move her car to the side of the road to clear the traffic jam. Several bystanders at the scene captured the entire episode on their cellphones, police said.

Based on the initiative of the owner of the rear vehicle, the Juhu police registered a case in connection with the accident and reckless driving. Further investigation into the case is underway, officials said.
