The Kochi Municipal Police arrested a woman in order to cheat on job seekers by promising opportunities abroad.
Karthika Pradeep, a native of Pathanamthitta, was arrested for a complaint filed by a Thrissur native, who was reportedly cheated on 5.2 Lakh. According to the first information report (companies) submitted by the central police Ernaculam, the aspirant transferred money in installments between 26 August 2024 and 14 December 2024 to the accused, who led the educational counseling in the Pallurutha. Thrissur-Neartive was reportedly promised to work a social worker in the UK. The defendant, however, did not follow her promise.
The accused gained traction among job seekers through her coils and contributions to social media. She learned that she had promised job seekers by demanding a fee of 3 to 8 ₹ Lakh. In addition to the Thrissur native, others who were allegedly cheated, they raised similar complaints against it. The police said she was arrested in Kozhikod 2. May. It was made in court and was transported. According to the police, the accused completed MBB from Ukraine.
The Police Registed the Case Under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhit (BNS) SECTIONS 316 (2) (Criminal Breach of Trust) and 318 (4) Valuable Security, or Anything WHICH IS SIGNED OR SEALED, AND WHICH IS CAPABLE OF BEING CONPERTED INTO and VALAABLE Security).
