The Spice aircraft frame window operating its flight to Pune from Goa was found relaxed in the air, but had no impact on passenger safety, the airline said on Wednesday (July 2, 2025).
The frame was repaired as soon as the plane landed at the next (PUE) airport, in accordance with standard maintenance procedures, the airline said in its statement. Spicejet, however, did not share other details.
“The cosmetic (inner) window frame on one of the Q400 aircraft has relaxed during the flight and was found relaxed,” the airline said in its statement.
Spicejet also stated that the pressure in the cabin remained normal during the flight and had no impact on the safety of passengers and added that the released part was the non -structural component of the hem, mounted on the window for the shadow, and did not threaten the safety or integrity of the aircraft.
The Q400 is equipped with several layers of window boards, including the robust outer pane carrying pressure, which ensures that passenger safety is never endangered, even in the unlikely event of a surface or cosmetic component, ”Spicejet added.
Passengers questioned the air capacity of the aircraft and published a video from the drained window on the X -Social Media platform.
“#Spicejet from Goa to Pune today. The whole set of inner window just fell from half a flight. And this flight is now to take off and head to Jaipur. Wondered if it was worthy air.
