Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Wednesday (Dec 24, 2025) said that he is committed to provide employment to every single Bihari in the state. It was his resolution that the youth of Bihar should study in Bihar and get employment in their own state.
“Our government is constantly working to achieve one million jobs and employment opportunities. We will fulfill this promise made to the public in the next five years at any cost. A separate department has also been created for this purpose,” Choudhary said.
Mr. Choudhary was addressing the youth at ‘Goonj’, an annual program organized by ABC College of Education at Neura, Patna. In his speech, he mentioned the historical, cultural and intellectual heritage of Bihar and said that Lord Buddha attained enlightenment and Lord Mahavira and Guru Gobind Singh Ji were born in this very land.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader said that the land of Bihar was a land of knowledge and sacrifice and now is the time to bring back this glorious history. According to him, the government’s priority was to provide employment to the people of Bihar in Bihar.
Law and order
Taking a strict stance on law and order, he said that a clean-up operation had been launched and every criminal would be sent to jail and no criminals would be spared.
Mr. Choudhary also said that the people of Bihar are good and believe in good governance.
“A few people are tarnishing the image of Bihar by their actions. Biharis have the capacity to develop every part of the country – be it Chandigarh or Delhi; Bihar has contributed significantly to their development. Now work is on to transform Bihar so that people do not have to go outside for work,” he added.
Calling education and skill development the backbone of the change, Mr. Choudhary said there were only six medical colleges and a few engineering colleges in Bihar.
He said that engineering education was provided at a fee of just ₹10 and the number of polytechnics increased from 13 to 53. He appealed to the youth to study hard in the college and make a name for themselves in their respective fields and called them the true brand ambassadors of Bihar.
Enumerating the programs for the youth, Mr. Choudhary said that the government has introduced programs like bicycle scheme, uniform scheme, scholarships and financial assistance for competitive examination preparation so that no child is deprived of education due to financial constraints.
“Employment and financial assistance is being provided to empower women. Efforts are being made to transform Bihar into an industrial hub through industrial policy. Bihar is progressing rapidly on the path of development,” he said.
Mr. Choudhary added that the state budget which was once ₹6,000 crore has now increased to ₹3.17 crore and this was a transformed Bihar and this transformation was made possible by the hard work and dedication of the youth.
