PMK leader GK Mani on Thursday strongly condemned the move by the rival faction led by Anbumani Ramadoss and urged the Salem police to deny permission for the general council and executive council meeting planned by party founder S Ramadoss’s faction in Salem on Monday (December 29, 2025).
Speaking to reporters in Thailapuram near Tindivanam, Mr. Mani said that the faction led by Dr. Resorting to drama, Anbumanim called it a move to divert public attention to hold alliance talks for the upcoming Assembly elections.
It was Dr. Ramadoss, who founded the PMK and “the entire party cadre is with him”. He has led the party for 46 years and the proposed General Council and Executive Council meetings will go ahead as planned, he said.
Mr. Mani added that it is expected that Dr. Ramadoss will make important announcements regarding the alliance for the upcoming assembly elections.
