US President Donald Trump has indicated a reduction in tariffs stored in China to achieve an agreement with the Status for the sale of Tiktok, a platform used by 170 million people in the US, Reuters said.
“With regard to Tiktok and China, it will have to play a role in it, maybe in the form of consent, and I think they will do it. Maybe I will give them a little decrease in tariffs or something they can do,” Trump said on Wednesday.
Trump’s willingness to reduce tariffs comes before the deadline of April 5. Until then, it must be the subject of finding a non -China buyer for Tiktok, or may face a US ban on a national security that would come into effect in January. Meanwhile, Tiktok did not officially respond to Trump’s latest statement.
Tiktok will be in January
Tiktok was on January 19 briefly prohibited about concerns about his connection with China. Trump gave Tiktoku 75 days to find a new buyer based in the US. However, whether the Fattedance is open to the sale of the popular video application is still unclear.
“I think I have a warm place for tiktok, which I originally did not have, but I went to the tiktok and won young people,” Trump said when signing the executive order.
“I intend to consult with my advisors, including the heads of the relevant departments and agencies about the National Security concerns, which is a tiktok, and seek a resolution that protects national security and at the same time saves the platform used by 170 million Americans.” Trump added.
Tiktok’s answer
In response to Trump’s expansion, Tiktok said: “We thank President Trump for giving our services providers the necessary clarity and assurance that they will not face any fines that Tiktok provides more than 170 million to Americans.”
Fears of tiktoku
Last year, Congress approved the legislation for Tiktok sale or forbidden, which received Bipartisan support and was signed by the then President Joe Biden. The US constantly increased concerns about national security regarding Chinese ownership of Tiktoku.
