
Mumbai Batter Yashsvi Jaiswal spoke of his surprising move from Bombai to Goa and described it as a difficult decision to leave the city that gave him the opportunity to build his cricket career. Jaiswal confirmed that Goa had offered him a captain, adding that he did not want to miss a chance to lead the party of the home cricket.
YASSVI, 23, submitted a request to the Mumbai Cricket Association Association (MCA) for the certificate without objections (night) to move to the Goa-A team recently promoted to the elite division of the Ranji Trophy from the group of records. Jaiswal is supposed to represent Goa since the 2025-26 season. The MCA confirmed the acceptance and approval of Jaiswal’s application for a night, PTI press agency said.
Jaiswal, who is considering his unexpected move, said Indian Express that he would be available for Goa whenever he didn’t play an international cricket.
“Goa threw me a new opportunity and offered me a leading role. My first goal will be good for India and whenever I’m not in a domestic service, I will play for Goa and try to take them deep into the tournament.”

Jaiswal, originally from Suriyawan in Uttarprady, launched his cricket journey in Mumbai. The left -hand dough debuted in Trophy Ranji for Mumbai as a teenager in 2019.
He played seven first -class matches for Mumbai, and his last performance appeared at the beginning of this year against Jammu and Kashmir. Jaiswal, together with Rohit Sharma, returned to the home cricket after the Directive from the Criket Control Board in India (BCCI).
Since his test debut in 2023, Jaiswal has become a key player for India, where he appeared in 19 matches. In the recent Trophy Border-Gavascar, he was a leading Indian shooter who accumulated 391 runs in five tests.
Jaiswal is currently represented by Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2025 and had a slow start of the season and only 34 runs scored in three matches.
