On Friday after a year, the Constitutional Court removed the office of Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatry from the Office. Its release came weeks after its suspension and restored the tension of the boundaries between Thai and Cambodia.
Why was paetongtarn Shinawatra removed as Thailand’s PM?
Oster Paetongtarn Shinawatry came across a call that allegedly made with the Cambodian leader Senate Hun Sen 15 June.
In the judgment of 6-3, the court ruled on Friday that Shinawatra had damaged national interest and violated ethical standards in a telephone call with the former Hun Hun leader with the Associated Press.
What was the phone call about?
It was argued that during a telephone call it seemed that Paetongtarn Shinawatra criticized the official and the party of Thailand with Cambodia in the border dispute – a potential violation of the behavior according to the Constitution.
Paetongtarn Shinawatra mentioned Hun Sen-Starý’s friend of her father, former Minister Thaksin Shinawatry-Jako “uncle” and seemingly criticized the commander of the Thai army, who is in charge of the border forces.
The call reportedly escaped the online Hun dream, which caused outrage in Thailand.
After the incident, a group of senators filed a complaint against her and accused her of lacking “demonstrable honesty and integrity” and seemed to have built personal ties over national interest.
Paetongtarn apologized and said that her approach was the tactics of negotiation that prevents conflict, reported the Associated Press.
Her reach to Hun Dream seemed to be an incorrect step and her opponents were quickly politicized.
A weeks later, Thai and Cambodian forces clashed along the border for five days, so dozens of dead and moved more than 260,000 people.
The rise and decline in paetongtarn in a year
PAETONGTARN was excluded for a year for its term. Last year, she stood up to lead to a fragile coalition government, which was based on the 2017 Thai Military Institute, which limits the power of elected governments through instruments such as the un -elected Senate and the powerful courts.
Paetongtarn was suspended from its duties 1 July, when the Constitutional Court agreed to consider a petition of conservative senators to remove it.

Deputy Prime Minister Phumtham Wechayachai took responsibility Paetongtarn. The current cabinet will remain in the government of the administrator until the new Prime Minister is elected.
Parliament is obliged to select one of the pre -approved list of candidates submitted by each party before the last elections.
The administrator’s government also has the opportunity to call a new election with the consent of the kingdom.
The Thai side of Pheu has already used two of its three nominees – Srettha Thvisin – who were rejected by the court as Prime Minister and now Paetongtarn last year.
This is left by Chaikas Nitisiri, 77, loyalist of the party and former minister. The leader of the challenger is Anutin Charnviracul by Bhumjaithoi.
