Former Indian Spinner Harbhajan Singh also considered the debate and stressed that personal sentiment and politics often differ in such things. When he spoke at the company magazine event, he said: “Indian-Pakistani matches always come to the center of attention, but after the Sindoor operation, everyone said there should be no cricket and no shop. We played the World Championship in legends, but we did not play this match against Pakistan.”
Harbhajan added that he does not support sports or business ties with Pakistan at a personal level, but respects the government’s attitude in terms of competition in versatile tournaments.
Despite the controversy, the Asia Cup competition between opponents with an arch looks to continue. India and Pakistan will head for accessories with winning starts, which makes the game essential for a super four berths.
