Former cricket AB de Villiers revealed that Virt Kohli did not speak to batter several months after he accidentally revealed that the other was expecting his second child. AB de Villiers had things slipped in February 2024 while he lives on YouTube and said that Anushka was pregnant with her second child with Virt Kohli.
The news came as a huge announcement for fans, because pregnancy kept both Kohli and Anushka wraps. In an interview with Cricket.com de Villiers, he finally opened up on this matter and said that the angry Kohli had a few months of ghosts.
The South African legend revealed that Kohli had approached him six months back, during the Border-Gavascar Trophy 2024-25, when he walked through a difficult patch in his career.
“I know we were on the same boat because we talked about it. He was in contact with me in the last six months. Thank God because I had a little leg when I leaned when he was expecting my second child with me (De Villiers publicly announced it before Kohl).
“So he talked about … We all know that he had gone through a little patch and wanted to bounce off some ideas from me – as I got through certain moments of my life. So I knew what phase he was going through, given his age, how many games he played, the dynamics of being in the team, her policy.
“Many things weigh on you. And I shared with him from my heart, what I felt and what I think, what I see from the side, watching him on the screen. So very happy that he still plays cricket. And the decision not playing cricket would come from the heart.
De Villiers said he had supported Virerta Kohli’s heart all over and hoped that the dough had much more ODI cricket in it.
“And I support it 100%. He had an amazing career and I want his cricket to enjoy until the last ball. And if it’s a way forward for him, then I am behind him. Hopefully, a much more cricket of white ball left for him,” he concluded.
