The Indian ambassador to Israel JP Singh said that Pakistan should pass on key terrorists Hafiz Saeed, Sajid Mir and Zakiur Rehman Lakhvi, as well as the American released one of the masters of the terrorist attack 26/11 Mumbai, Tahawur Hussain Rana.
“When the US can pass these culprits, why can’t they hand over Pakistan? They simply have to hand over Hafeez Saeed, Lakhvi, Sajid Mir and things will be over,” JP Singh said in an interview with the Israeli TV I24 on Monday.
The Indian Ambassador quoted a long list of terrorist attacks in India, which came from Pakistan, and said that “the main cause was these two groups-Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-E-Taba”.
“Lashkar-E-Taba leaders, who were also wandering for attacks in Mumbai, which was also killed,” the press agency quoted him.
“He has to do a very simple thing – when the preamble includes goodwill and friendship, he only has to give us these terrorists,” the envoy said.
Singh also stressed that the Indian Sindoor Operation against Pakistan is “suspended” and “not above”.
Asked if the ceasefire is held and whether it is the “end of the matter” for India, Singh answered that “the ceasefire is still holding, but we clearly explained that the Sindoor operation was suspended, is not over yet.”
Singh told the incidents leading to the Indian offensive and stated that the operation was initially against terrorist groups in Pakistan.
“Terrorists killed people on the basis of their religion. They asked people about their religion before they killed them, and 26 innocent lives were lost,” said the Indian ambassador, quoting the Pahalgam attack of April 22.
“The Indian operation was against terrorist groups and their infrastructure, to which Pakistan responded by attacking India’s military installations,” he stressed.
He said, “The fight against terrorism will continue. We have managed a new normal and new normal is that we will follow the offensive strategy. Where there are terrorists, we have to kill these terrorists and we have to destroy their infrastructure.
