Israeli Iranian conflict: The Israeli army said on Saturday that he had killed Saeed Izadi, a veteran commander in the overseas arms of Iranian revolutionary guards, in an attack within the apartment in the Iranian province of Qom.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said in a statement that Izadi was the leader of the Palestinian overseas arm, also known as Quds Force.
Israeli defense forces (IDF) also issued a statement later and confirmed the details of killing and Izadi.
“Saeed Izadi, the founder of the Iranian plan of destroying Israel, was excluded on the exact IDF strike in the QOM area,” Idf said in post X.
The report comes when the conflict between Israel and Iran entered into its ninth day when Tel Aviv launched a massive wave of strikes in Iran and claimed that Tehran was on the verge of nuclear weapons development.
Who was the Seeed Izadi?
In its statement, the Israeli army said that Saeed Izadi was the commander of the Palestinian Corps of the Forces of Quds – which acts as a key coordinator between Hamas in the Gaza Strip and the Iranian regime.
“Izadi was also the commander of the Palestinian Choir of Strength Quds, a key coordinator between the Iranian regime and Hamas and one of the main orchestrators of the massacre 7,” he said.
He was responsible for the military coordination between IRGC commanders and Iranian regime with key personalities in Hamas.
The army further said: “In its role, Izadi was responsible for increasing financial financing from Iran to Hamas for terrorist activities against Israel.”
During the Israeli Palestinian War, Saeed Izadi was also responsible for the management of Hamas forces from Lebanon.
“Since then, he has committed himself to rebuilding Hamas’s military wing and ensuring that Hamas remains a control body in Gaza,” IDF said.
Izadi maintained direct contact with Palestinian terrorist organizations in Gaza, Judeji and Samaria, the Israeli army claimed.
The Israeli military campaign combined targeted assassinations for key Iranian military staff, the destruction of Iranian air defense and repeated strikes in nuclear places.
