Harman Sidhu struggled with drug addiction
He made headlines in September 2018 after he and four of his friends were arrested by the Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of the Sirsa police in connection with the possession of 52.1 g of heroin in Sirsa. Based on the local court’s decision, he was sent to one-day police custody, HT reported. During the investigation, several details about his struggle with drug addiction came to light.
“During interrogation, Sidhu told the police that he was a drug addict for the past six to seven months. He buys the drug from a Nigerian national living in Delhi at a cheaper price, which is very high in Punjab and Haryana,” said police spokesperson Surjeet Singh, while investigation into the case continued.
One of Harman Sidhu’s songs deals with the ill effects of drug addiction. A song titled ‘Chitta’ was released in 2015.
