
A high-speed accident on the Delhi-Mumbai highways claimed the life of one of Rajasthan’s leading industrialists, Vallabh Maheshwari. A 62-year-old industrialist from Jaipur was traveling from Jaipur to Mathura when his driver lost control of the luxury vehicle on the Alwar stretch of the Delhi-Mumbai highway, leaving the car completely destroyed.
Shakun Group MD Vallabh Maheshwari died in Delhi-Mumbai highway accident
Vallabh Maheshwari, managing director of Shakun Group and one of Rajasthan’s leading industrialists, died on Sunday after the BMW he was traveling in lost control, crashed through roadblocks and overturned on the Delhi-Mumbai highway near Alwar in Rajasthan. He was 62.

Maheshwari was traveling from Jaipur to Mathura on a religious trip when his BMW went out of control near milepost 136.8 in Raini police station area around 4 pm. Police said the car broke through the barricades, crossed the median and hit the culvert wall.
The force of the impact was so strong that it left the luxury car completely crushed beyond recognition.
Maheshwari and the driver were taken to Pinan Hospital and later transferred to Harish Hospital in Alwar. Doctors declared Maheshwari brought dead.
How did the accident happen? What the police say
According to the police, Maheshwari’s driver was behind the wheel at the time of the collision. The driver lost control of the vehicle, which plowed through roadblocks before hitting a median and then crashing into the wall of a culvert, a sequence of impacts that proved fatal for the passenger, but the driver was surprisingly unhurt.

Both men were taken to a nearby hospital where Maheshwari was pronounced dead on arrival. The initial investigation indicated that excessive speed or a technical fault on the vehicle could have been the cause of the accident. Maheshwari’s body has since been sent to Jaipur for post-mortem.
Who was Vallabh Maheshwari? The Man Behind Shakun Group
Maheshwari was a director of several branches of the Shakun Group, a Jaipur-based industrial conglomerate founded in the early 2000s. The Group operates across the entire value chain of its sector, from the establishment of relevant industrial infrastructure and processing resources to the transportation and delivery of finished products to end users.

Vallabh Das Maheshwari had over 32 years of experience in corporate governance and business management. Reportedly based in Jaipur, he has built a reputation for his involvement in a wide range of business sectors.
Over the course of his career, Maheshwari has served as a director and designated partner in several companies spanning advertising, infrastructure, real estate and hospitality, according to India Filings. At the time of his death he was associated with 12 companies. These included SGM Buildcon Private Limited, Shakun Communication Infrastructure Private Limited, Shakun Advertising Private Limited, Manokamna Real Estate Private Limited and NS Publicity India Private Limited.
He was also associated with organizations like Roop Shakun Foundation, Shakun Buildhome Private Limited and Shakun Hotels and Resorts Private Limited. Additionally, Maheshwari served as Designated Partner at Shakun Fort and Palace LLP and Shakun Realty LLP.
Earlier in his career he was associated with Sarvottam Buildhome Private Limited. His professional work has largely focused on business operations, corporate management and strategic expansion of various businesses across sectors.
Ashok Gehlot offers condolences to Vallabh Maheshwari
Former Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot was among the first prominent voices to express grief over Maheshwari’s demise. In his post on X, Gehlot said, “The news of the demise of industrialist Vallabh Maheshwari in a tragic road accident that occurred on the expressway in Reni police station area of Alwar is extremely heartbreaking. I pray to God to give peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family to bear this grief. Om Shanti.”
Maheshwari is survived by her family, who have yet to make a public statement. Post-mortem findings are expected to shed further light on the exact cause of the crash.
