Former Commissioner NYPD Tom Donlon launched a fiery attack on the mayor of Eric Adams, who called him “morally corrupt” and accused his administration of transforming the police department into a “criminal enterprise”, according to NY post.

In the federal court proceedings filed on Wednesday, Donlon, who at the end of 2024 briefly led NYPD, allegedly protected the highest brass that committed fraud with wires, an obstacle to justice and other crimes.
Donlon said New York Post that Adams was surrounded by “clowns” who ignored orders and operated like a crowd, rewarded faithful officers with false promotions and overtime in punishment of critics.
The 251 -page court compares the NYPD management with blackmail according to the law of Rico, usually used against organized crime.
Donlon claims that his authority was sabotled immediately after trying to object to the “non -professional” social media of the highest officials. The suit claims that the deputy mayor Kaza Daughtry, a former spokesman for Tarik Sheppard and other counterfeit documents using Donlon Commissioner to pushed unskilled promotions and cause “millions of non -raised salary”.
Most shocking, Donlon accuses officials of the organization of the false arrest of his wife in December 2024 and handcuffs after a smaller fender in what he calls “coordinated humiliation”. The records of her ticket later disappeared.
Adams rejected the action as “unfounded accusations of a dissatisfied former employee”, while Sheppard suggested that Donlon had “cognitive problems”. City Hall spokesman Kayla Mamelak Altus called it cash “at the expense of a taxpayer”.

Despite being appointed to clean up NYPD after the predecessor Edward Caban resigned in the middle of the FBI raids, Donlon says that Adams had moved him in a few weeks, expelled him from meetings and even his successor.
