The Jagadeesan High Court judge will bring the probe to “StamPede”, which took place on Saturday 27 September at the Karur Rally in Karur.
The Tamil Government has announced the establishment of a one -member investigative committee within the Jagadeesan, which will conduct a thorough investigation and submit a report.
Up to 40 people died and 67 were treated after the actor Vijay Vijay’s Tamilaga vettri Kazhagam (TVK) took place in Karur during the rally. He was responsible for the deadly incident, Vijay’s late arrival and “bad management”.
The Commission, led by Judge Aruna Jagadeesan retires, is expected to start a probe into disaster on Sunday 28th September. Deputy Minister Tamil Nadhayanidhi Stalin said the Commission would arrive in Karur later on the day to explore the incident Stampede.
Who is the judiciary of ARUNA JAGADeesan?
Judge Aruna Jagadeesan is a former judge of the Madras High Court. From 2009 to 2015 she served as a judge Puisne at the Supreme Court.
She led several important cases and led many commissions for the state government.
