“I heard an interesting commentary on my administration yesterday as the main secretary – that he was as black as my husband was white. Hmmm. I have to own my darkness,” Muraleedharan wrote in her paper on March 25,
Muraleedharan deleted the post after being “angry with the reply.” Yet she translated it again.
“I recalculate it, because some well -being said that there were things to be discussed. I agree. So here it goes again,” she said in her post, which gained more than 1,000 reactions and was commented and shared hundreds of times.
Who is Sarala Muraleedharan?
Muraleedharan is a 1990 Ias batch officer. Since she had taken over from her husband in Ven in September 2024, she has been the main secretary of Kerala.
Muraldheeran served in many key positions – Wednesday and State – before he became the main secretary. From 2006 to 2012, headed by Missis of Keral, the government led to the Kudumbashree Mission Government Keraly. The mission focused on strengthening the position of women, reduce poverty and emphasize human rights perspectives. She also worked as the main operating director at National Mission for the Living Rural Survey Ministries of Rural Development, Indian Government, until December 2013.

From 2014 to 2016 she worked as a joint secretary of the Ministry Panchayati Raj. She was also CEO of the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT).

In the Facebook post, Muraleedharan also shared how she grew up and felt as if she had less because of her dark skin. Only later, with the help of her children, did she realize that Black was “beautiful”.
When she talked to the TV channel on March 26, she said the company had to change its attitudes and overcome these distortion. According to her, this change must start at home and in schools. She said the comparison with her husband was “unexpected” and Venu, her husband, encouraged to re -stand his post on Facebook.
