Who is Miguel Uribe?
Miguel Uribe (39) is a right -wing senator and a member of an opposition conservative democratic center founded by former Colombian President Alvaro Uribe. Both men are not related.
Uribe’s mother, journalist Diana Turbay, was killed in 1991 during the rescue operation after her kidnapped Medell’s cartel Pablo Escobara, Reuters reported.

The Colombian Presidency issued a statement that the government “categorically and violently” rejected a violent attack and called for a thorough investigation into the events that took place.
“I don’t know how to alleviate your pain. It’s a mother’s pain lost and injured homeland,” said Colombian President Gustavo Petro on X.
