Who is Lawrence Bishnoi? A gangster operating from prison; linked to Salman Khan’s threats now targeting Tiger Shroff | Today’s news

Three gunshots were reported near actor Tiger Shroff in Mumbai South on Sunday night. Fortunately, the actor escaped unhurt, while his driver was reportedly hit by a bullet in the hand. The Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for the shooting, according to news agency PTI.

The incident took place near Pushpa Park in the jurisdiction of Juhu Police Station in the western suburbs. A purported video doing the rounds on social media shows the person who shot the actor and his friend.

The police have launched an investigation into the case and a large-scale search for the perpetrators.

According to an NDTV report, a man who identified himself as gang member Lawrence Bishnoi said the actor was targeted because of his close association with Salman Khan.

“Anyone in the film industry who works apart from us or collaborates with Salman Khan, we will kill. And this is the first and last warning. This Salman Khan is Dawood’s (Ibrahim) dog and we kept a dog named Dawood at home,” the man said, according to NDTV.

“We called him and explained it to him, but he didn’t understand, so we explained it properly today,” it added.

Lawrence Bishnoi, who is currently lodged in a jail in Gujarat, has repeatedly threatened to kill Salman Khan.
