Shortly after her release by the Taliban in Afghanistan, American wife Faye Hall celebrated her newly found freedom and thanked US President Donald Trump for “bringing her house”. Hall, along with the British couple and their Afghan translator, was detained on February 1 while traveling to the middle province of Bamiyan.
In the video shared on Trump’s truth, Faye Hall shows in apparently good health. She was seen smiling and as she said, “Thank you for bringing me home.”
The video was later published on X.
Hall said she was proud to be an American citizen, and urged Afghan women held in Taliban prison.
“Thank you, Mr. President,” she said. “And I just want you to know, all women in Afghan prison always ask me,” When does Trump come? “They really treat you like their savior.
In the post accompanying video Trump said, “Thank you Faye – so honored with your words!”

Who was Faye Hall and why was she arrested?
Hall, identified by the Ministry of the Interior of the Taliban as a Chinese-American, was detained together with Peter and Barbie Reynolds, who are at the age of 70 when they traveled to the British couple in the province of Central Bamiyan. Their Afghan translator was also arrested.
Taliban officials refused to describe in detail the reasons for their arrest, but one report stated that the Hall was detained for charges of using a drone without permission.
Former Washington’s envoy to Kabul Zalmay Khalilzad hosted that Hall was now in the care of Qatar delegation in Kabul.
“The American civic Faye Hall, just released by the Taliban, is now in the care of our friends, Qataris in Kabul, and will soon be on the way home,” wrote Khalilzad, which was part of the American delegation working on Taliban manuscripts, wrote on X.
While the Qatari Embassy was “confirmed in good health after he had passed a number of medical inspections,” according to a source of publication knowledge.
It was released on Thursday after the court order and with a logistical support from Qatar, the source added.
The British couple detained with Hall remains in Taliban’s custody.

At the beginning of this month, Khalilzad visited the Afghan capital on the rare journey of American officials to meet the Taliban authorities and accompany the US hostage to Adam Boehler.
After their visit, the Taliban government announced the release of American citizen George Glezmann after more than two years of detention in an agreement mediated by Qatar.

He and Hall are among several Americans who will be released from Taliban this year.
In January, two Americans were detained in Afghanistan-ryan Corbett and William McKenty-flow in exchange for Afghan Khan Mohammed, who was convicted of Narco terrorism in the United States.
In Afghanistan, at least one other American citizen, Mahmood Habibi, is still held.
