
What started as a regular Saturday afternoon in Walmart in Traverse City, Michigan, quickly descended into chaos when a 42 -year -old man started stabbing customers accidentally. According to Sheriff’s Grand Traverse County office, the attacker entered the store around 17:00. You control the folding knife and eventually hurt 11 people – six critically and five seriously.
But in the middle of panic, the bold acts of one man helped prevent further bloodshed.
Passersby who entered
Derrick Perry, a local resident shopping with his family at the Walmart store, is attributed to the stop of the attacker before another life. Eyewitnesses say Perry ran to the suspect while the others fled.
“He didn’t hesitate,” one shopper said who witnessed the incident. “Everyone escaped, but Derrick ran to danger.”
Stopping the camera stop

Victim hospitalized, motif unknown
Munson Healthcare confirmed that all 11 victims were treated in the largest hospital in the region. On Sunday morning four were in serious condition and seven were in a fair state.
“Stimulating signs of recovery” were observed, said hospital spokesman Megan Brown.
The authorities argue that the attacker used a folding knife and that there is no known motive at present.

Officials react
Governor Gretchen Whitmer described this incident as “brutal violent act”, and added, “Our thoughts are with victims and community turns out to be.”
The FBI also offered help in the investigation.
The witness describes the scene outside
Steven Carter, Walmart’s delivery driver, saw part of the attack developing in the parking lot.
“I saw him cropped the female throat,” he said. “Later he was surrounded by a group of shoppers. They kept shouting” Drop knives, “but he said,” I don’t care, I don’t care. “Before someone settled and dampened him.”
It turned out that someone was Derrick Perry.
