
Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with CAI Qi, close to the assistant of Chinese President Xi Jinping and a member of the Politburo Permanent Committee in Tianjin on Sunday during his visit to China.
The Ministry of External Affairs said that the Prime Minister shared his vision for bilateral relations with CAI and was looking for his support to realize the vision of both leaders.
“CAI has repeated the desire to expand bilateral exchange and further improve relationships in accordance with consensus achieved between two leaders,” he said.

In the X post, sharing photos of PM Modi and Cai Qi, spokesman for Mea Randhir Jaiswal wrote: “Building and in line with the meeting of leaders affected bilateral economic, political and people-the exchanges between India and China.”
