Jaish-e-Mohammed terror module’s Faridabad link with Delhi Blast
All eyes are now on the “accidentally triggered” and hastily assembled explosive device that caused the explosion on November 10. The blast at Lal Quila Metro Gate No. 1 was said to have been caused by a panicked decision after security forces busted a terror cell in Haryana. Authorities have zeroed in on Pulwama doctor Umar Nabi, who was allegedly driving a slow-moving Hyundai i20 near a traffic light on that fateful day.
The explosion claimed nearly 13 lives and injured many others. The blast reportedly occurred hours after the discovery of a white-collar terror cell comprising Jaish-e-Mohammed and Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind and covering Kashmir, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
Authorities seized about 2,500 kilograms of ammonium nitrate, potassium chlorate and sulfur from Faridabad and detained eight people, including three doctors, on November 10, hours before the blast. Apart from Dr. Shaheen Sayeed, another accused linked to Al-Falah University, Dr. Muzammil Ganaie, was arrested in the case. According to Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) tests of samples from the Delhi site, one of the explosive samples is believed to be ammonium nitrate.
