The bench led by the chief judge of India (CJI) Sanjiv Khanna explained that relief is only for teachers whose appointment was “unsuccessful”.
The Supreme Court stated that they could continue until a new appointment has been made.
The Supreme Court ruled and noted that students of the study should not suffer due to the order approved by the court after discrepancies in the entire recruitment process in 2016.

The Supreme Court ordered the Western Bengal and West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC) to complete the new recruitment process for teachers’ assistants 9 and 10 and 11 and 12 to 31 December 2025.
The bench containing CJI Sanjiv Khanna and Justice Sanjay Kumar ordered the state and SSC to publish advertisements for the new recruitment process by May 31, 2025, reported Living Law.
The Supreme Court also ordered that the trials and the entire recruitment process should be completed by December 31, 2025.
The government of the West Bengal and the SSC was ordered to make an affidavit until 31 May 2025 and created advertising.
“If there is a failure, the current order will be released,” the court warned.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court refused to grant such relief to Group C and Group D employees whose appointment was canceled, “because the number of stained candidates in these classes is significantly high.”
What is the fraud of the recruitment of West Bengal?
The case of the “fraud” of the SSC “of West Bengal was based on alleged inconsistencies in the recruitment process in 2016 carried out by the SSC West Bengal, which appeared 23 lakh candidates for 24,640 jobs and a total of 25,753 letters were issued.
