Coach West Indies Daren Sammy is convinced that his powerful pace attack can help the party pulling out of India in the upcoming Away series, as well as how New Zealand could have been able to do last year. Blackcaps provided a historic victory of 3-0, the first Indian home loss in 12 years.
West Indies will be the first team to visit India in the new World Championship cycle And Sammy feels that his Pacers can work well in any given condition and stand out. Coach West Indies said that like Shamar Joseph, Alzarri Joseph and Jayden Searles, they can concern Indian dough and take 20 goals.
“We were in a position where our seam attack could work in any conditions,” Sammy said at a press conference. “This length of six to eight meters in the world works. But in our department of rapid suppression we have four different people who have their own diversity.”
“You have Shamar Joseph, who is very Skiddy, Jayden, who has a strong front leg and can turn the ball in both ways, then you have Alzarri Joseph with his height and reflection that he could extract.
“The process remains the same. The lines and lengths do not change when it comes to a length of six to eight meters. It may just adapt to whether it is fuller or touches back to the pitch.
“To go to India with thinking to win”
West Indies last won the series in India against India only in 1983. Sammy said he had spent the last few weeks control of data to come with the best team for the series. Coach Windies said he would try to imitate what New Zealand did last year and surprise.
“From my end, ten days leading to the (first) test match (in India) we will drill and plan very well in all these things, as we beat India in India,” Sammy said. “We definitely go there with a direct approach to win. We’re not just going there and think,” Oh, it’s India. ” No. New Zealand went there and did incredibly well and that we should be inspired. But again, it is an understanding of the things New Zealand did in these conditions, and also imitate it with our boys, ”Sammy said.
West Indies will face India in a series of two tests that will begin on October 2 in Ahmedabad.
