Given that the future of nearly 26,000 candidates hangs in balance after the Supreme Court’s order knocked their jobs, aspirations for employment from all over West Bengal said to March to Nabanna (State Secretariat) 21.
Under the banner of job seekers and employers West Bengal, the group demanded immediate steps against the growing unemployment crisis in the state. The injured candidate who lost his job during this crisis said, “Whom CM will deal with interviews? Includes it only deserves candidates, or does it also include insufficient candidates whose corruption led to this problem first and foremost?” They also stated that everyone would attend a meeting, but also insisted that the CM should stand from the first day and not when the ultimatum was given the Supreme Court.
The aspirant of employment from the group that called for Nabann March said that if the cm could hit and offer many work, because there are many vacancies in the state.
“Whenever we protest, they arrest us, beat us. If they cannot offer us the legitimate work we are to get because we passed the exams, it should say that these panels were canceled,” the aspirant added.
Some of the candidates and teachers who lost their job after they went to order SC, met the head of the Congress Trinamool and former MP Kunal Ghosh. They interact with the leader of the ruling party, but refused to speak and stated that they would speak only after they encounter cm 7 April.
In the commentary on a huge problem of loss of employment, Mr. Ghosh asked why the Supreme Court had to hurry and take the employment of so many deserved candidates.
“What is justice? We want justice for all. The Mamata Banerjee government will not stand by those accused of corruption, but those who deserved their jobs were thrown under the bus, we can’t accept it,” Ghosh added.
Affected education
After almost 26,000 jobs were eliminated, many schools were seriously influenced by SC’s judgment. The Murshidabad’s Farakka school has more than 9,000 students, but almost 36 their teachers lost their jobs that stopped classes. A handful of teachers are left at school, so the future of education is uncertain. That was the story of many schools all over the state. Reportedly, up to 19,500 state schools were influenced by this order.
Also, teachers are not sure whether they will be paid their salaries or whether to continue the class.
Mamata Banerjee announced that she would present a summer holiday and start them from the end of April to take care of the crisis for the moment.
