Amid elaborate security measures, voting for the second and final phase West Bengal Assembly Elections will be held on Wednesday (April 29, 2026). Voting will be held for 142 assembly seats spread across seven districts, including Kolkata, from 7 am to 6 pm About 3.21 lakh voters will decide the fate of 1,448 candidates in the fray.
The first phase of elections was held in 152 seats in 16 districts on April 23, with a record voter turnout of 93.2% reported. Election Commission of India (EC) officials and representatives across political parties urged voters to come out and vote in large numbers.
