Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has filed her nomination as a high-stakes Trinamool Congress (TMC) candidate Bhabanipur Constituency on Wednesday (8/4/2026) in the morning. The TMC the president is seeking a fourth term against a formidable challenge from the opposition.
She has won the Bhabanipur seat for the last three consecutive terms, starting in 2011 when her party achieved a historic victory, ending the Left’s 34-year-old rule in West Bengal.
