
According to the second person cited above, the Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority was occupied in March with 3,000 twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU) containers and another 5,000 TEU of transhipment cargo, all facing delays and diversions due to the war in West Asia. While the situation has improved as several stranded containers have been moved back to the city using equipment, a large number remain at the ports and would still require concessions, the person said.
