
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday predicted heavy to very strong precipitation in the southern states of India by 30 May.

Southern India
From May 28th to June 2nd, heavy to very strong rainfall in several places in Kerala & Mahe and Coastal Karnataka are expected.
The southern interior of Karnataka will receive a strong precipitation in isolated places during this period. The northern interior of Karnataka is likely to see similar weather from May 28 to 30 May. Insulated extremely heavy rainfall is very likely above Kerala & Mahe (28 – 30 May).
Meanwhile, IMD predicted scattered to relatively widespread light to medium rainfall with storms and gusty winds are expected over the next five days.

Isolated heavy rainfall is probably above the coast of Andhra Pradesh & Yanam, Telangana (28th – 29th May) and Rayalaseem 28 May. Very strong precipitation is expected on Telangana, IMD said in the edition.
Insulated on scattered rainfall with storms and impact winds, along with severe rainfall in several places and very heavy to extremely heavy precipitation in isolated places, is very likely on May 28. From May 28th to June 2, a heavy to very strong collision is expected, IMD said.
Meanwhile, IMD has issued a council for a strong storm activity and is expected to wind winds in the south of Karnataka (28 – May 30) and Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and Rayalaseem (28 – 29 May).
Northwest India
IMD predicted dispersed to the relatively widespread light to medium collision accompanied by storms and lightning over Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzafabad, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryan, Chandigarh and Delhigar and Delhigarh and Delhigi.
Insulated on scattered precipitation is also probably over Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan during this period. Thundersquall activity is expected in several regions, including Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh-Gilgit-Baltistan-Muzaffarab on 28 and 29 May, Pandjab 29 and 30 May, and 30 May, 29 May, May 29 and 30 May.

Western India
IMD predicted scattered to relatively widespread light to medium rainfall, accompanied by storms, lightning and impact winds over Konkan and Goa and Madhya Maharashtra from May 28 to 2 June.
Similar weather conditions are expected in Gujarat and Marathwada from 28 to 29. Isolated heavy rainfall is probably over Marathwada on May 28 and above Gujarat during this period, while Konkan & Goa and Madhya Mahashtra can witness heavy to very strong rainfall, especially from 28 to 29.
Northeastern India
“The relatively widespread to widespread light/slight rainfall accompanied by storms and lightning over the northeast India over the next 7 days,” IMD said.
In addition, insulated heavy to very heavy rainfall is probably above Aruunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura from 28 May to 2 June.
Insulated extremely heavy rainfall is very likely above Mizoram 28, Assam & Meghalaya on 29 and 30 May, IMD said.
East and Central India
IMD predicted the distraction of the relatively widespread light to a slight collision accompanied by storms and lightning over Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand and Odisha until May 31.

Insulated extremely heavy rainfall is very likely above Kerala & Mahe.
Similar weather is expected over Madhya Pradesh and Bihar in the same period. Isolated heavy rainfall is probably above Vidarbha and Andaman and Nicobar Islands 28.
In addition, Odishu 28 and 29 May, Gangnetic West Bengal 29 and 30. May expect isolated very strong rainfall, and sub-himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim from 29 to 31 May. Insulated extremely heavy rainfall is also very likely over the Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim 30.
