
IMD issues orange alert for Maharashtra, Telangana, Chhattisgarh
The IMD today issued an orange warning for heavy rains in Maharashtra, Telangana and Chhattisgarh. “Thunderstorm (wind speed reaching 50-60 kmph, gusting to 70 kmph) with hail likely over Chhattisgarh” by April 2 and “Vidarbha on April 1 and 2,” the report said.
Temperature change in the following days
The Meteorological Agency predicted below normal until April 6. At the same time, a gradual rise in maximum temperature of around 2-4°C is likely over NW India by 3rd April, followed by a gradual decrease of 2-4°C between 4th and 6th April.
For the Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh region of Maharashtra, the IMD has predicted a gradual drop in maximum temperatures by 2-4°C till April 2. “Gradual decrease in maximum temperatures by 2-4°C likely over Maharashtra by April 4,” the IMD said.
