Hyderabad stiffens for a heavy downpour, because the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an orange warning for the city and the surrounding areas for 13 and 14 August. She also warned of the probability of lightning floods during this period.
In the Bulletin released on Tuesday (August 12, 2025), IMD predicts a heavy to very heavy rain accompanied by a storm, with occasional intense spells that are expected to bring between 7 and 12 centimeters of precipitation, and perhaps more, in parts of Hyderabad Corporation (GHMC).
It was warned that the expected weather could lead to road watering on the roads and in low -laid areas throughout the city, resulting in traffic jams in several places. He also stated that the roads could be moistened and slippery, trees and electric poles could drop and electricity, water supply and other basic services could be disturbed for several hours.
