
Minister of Medical Education Sharan Prakash Patil emphasized the need to create a generation of healthcare workers with humanity, compassion and professionalism. “Medical education is not just about the production of doctors, nurses, pharmacists or researchers. We must create a new generation with compassion, humanity and professionalism together with knowledge,” Patil.
On Wednesday at Teachers’ Day celebrations organized at Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGuhs), he said, “Along with technical skills, communication skills and empathy should also develop. How doctors behave and deal with patients.
“Karnataka is in the foreground of medical education and RGUHS is recognized as the best medical university in the country,” he said.
Dr. Bhagwan BC, Vice -President, RGUHS, said: “The active partnership has been developed with foreign universities to provide Indian students with international opportunities.” He said there were many opportunities to equip our students with global skills and meet India’s health needs.
“RGUHS undertakes to strengthen students and faculties and develop professional skills along with education and research.” He said that by joining the hands with universities in England and other countries, he is intended to provide international opportunities to students and the faculty of our university.
