
The Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday congratulated Lee Jae-amu of his election as the South Korean President and expresses the eagerness to strengthen the special strategic partnership of the India-Year.

Liberal opposition candidate Lee Jae-myung was elected President early on Wednesday, winning a moon of political riots induced by a stunning but brief imposition of point law now imposed by conservative leader Yoon Suk Yeol.
At his inauguration address, after joining Myung, he said that his administration would respond to the potential North Korean aggression with a “strong deterrent” based on the robust South Korea – the US military alliance.

At the same time, he emphasized the willingness to carry out a dialogue with North Korea to build a permanent peace on the Korean Peninsula. In a speech with supporters soon on Wednesday Lee urged South Korean to “get forward from now on and do a new beginning,” Reuters said.
“Although we may have met for a while, even those who did not support us are still fellow citizens of the Republic of Korea,” he said.

He also promised that “he would seek dialogue, communication and cooperation” with North Korea, with whom he remains technically in the war, “finding the way to peaceful coexistence and shared prosperity”.
Lee Jun-Seok divided a conservative vote by leading a campaign aimed at attracting a younger and wider audience than Kim because he works on establishing as a trusted future leader. According to the departure survey, he received 7.7% of the vote.
