Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reportedly asked for Russian President Vladimir Putin to resolve his ongoing conflict with India, the Russian press agency TASS said on Wednesday.
Syed Tariq Fatemi, a special assistant to Shehbaz Sharif, said in the Valdai International Discussion Club, said he gave a letter from Pakistan President Pakistani President Pakistani President Putin through Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
“Yesterday I met the Russian Foreign Minister (Sergey) Lavrov. I gave him a letter from our prime minister Mr. Putin. We asked him to take advantage of his influence to make sure that India and Pakistan would sit down at the negotiating table and achieve a diplomatic solution.
Fatemi said that Pakistan is ready to sit down with a UN or any other country along with India to find a solution to ongoing questions.

“Neighbors cannot live in a situation where the war could start every minute. We sent officials to neighboring countries, including the US, the EU and Russia to explain that any country, the UN or a neutral state concerning India and Pakistan is open for discussion.
The diplomat also stated that Pakistan was waiting for the Russian initiative to sit down for action.
“We are here to see support from Russia to any initiative that would alleviate tension. Pakistan and India must sit at the bargaining table.”
Pakistan also asked to negotiate Donald Trump
Pakistan was also approaching the US and her President Donald Trump to try to achieve peace. Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who dealt with an event at the US embassy in Islamabad, appreciated Trump for his role in helping to de-espalo the situation with India and urged Washington to facilitate a comprehensive dialogue between the two nuclear neighbors.

India-Pakistan tension
