Water levels in Krishna are rising in Maharashtra and Belagavi region. receive heavy rains

Due to the resumption of heavy rains in parts of Maharashtra and Belagavi district, the inflow into the Krishna and its tributaries has increased significantly.

On Tuesday evening, the discharge from Maharashtra’s dams crossed 59,866 cusecs. That was about 11,885 cusecs higher than Monday.

The inflow into the Lal Bahadur Shastri reservoir on the Krishna at Almatti reached 46,848 cusecs. The average runoff was around 12,500 cusecs. The dam now has 79 tmcft against its full capacity of 123 tmcft of water.

Hipparagi barrage has around 2.35 tmcft of 6 tmcft of water. Average inflow is around 45,750 cusec and outflow is around 44,900 cusec.

Renuka Sagar on Malaprabha has inflow around 2,231 cusecs and outflow is around 194 cusecs. The dam has around 25 tmcft against 37 tmcft of water.

The Raja Lakhamagouda Dam on Ghataprabha has around 21 tmcft of water against the full capacity of 51 tmcft of water. The inflow is around 11,610 cusecs and the outflow was only around 140 cusecs.
