
The water level in the Godavari River in Bhadrachalam in the Bhadradri Kothagud district was around 37.60 feet on Friday evening, almost 5 feet below the first level of 43 feet flood warning, to increase the influx of from the river basin.
According to sources, the abundant influx of the upper range pushed the water level in the river from 33.30 feet at 6:00 to 37.60 feet at 19:00 in Temple Town on Friday.
Police Superintendent B. Rohith Raju, along with other police officials, visited Karakatta (Flood Bank) adjacent to the Bhadrachalama River on Friday evening to assess the readiness of the flood along the river.
