Lucknow Super Giants owner Sanjiv Goenka shared a heartwarming moment with Mukul Choudhary after the young batsman’s match-winning performance in the IPL 2026 match against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens.
Mukul scored an unbeaten 54 off 27 balls to lead the way LSG bowled out KKR for a total of 181 in a thrilling finish. After the victory, Goenka engaged in a long conversation with Mukul, hugging him and acknowledging his contribution with a kiss on the forehead.

HOW MUKUL GOT THE WIN FROM KKR
Mukul arrived at the crease with LSG struggling at 128 for 7 chasing 182, with KKR firmly in control after a tight middle stage. The game seemed over, but the youngster had other plans.
He started by choosing his moments before going for it. The breakthrough came in the 17th over when he tackled Vaibhav Arora for two sixes and breathed life into the chase. He didn’t look back from there.
Kartik Tyagi was next to hit two more sixes Mukul kept LSG in the hunt. Then came the decisive blow in the 19th over, where he crushed Cameron Green for two sixes and a boundary, putting the equation firmly within reach.
In the final over, Mukul held his nerve and unleashed two more sixes off Vaibhav Arora to seal the victory, scoring a superb unbeaten 54 off 27 balls. With 2 fours and 7 sixes, it was an innings built on faith, timing and clarity under pressure.
From 128 for 7 to end the chase, Mukul not only won the match for LSG but ripped it away from KKR, one shot after another.
